The title industry had a major security incident on Friday, July 16, 2021. Cloudstar, a hosting provider for title companies that run on-premise software platforms, was hit with a ransomware attack, leaving many of their customers without access to their title and escrow production systems.
Title and escrow agents on Qualia Core, our cloud-based title & escrow production system, are not impacted by this event.
For title and escrow operations that have been affected, Qualia is offering Qualia Core at no cost, on a temporary basis, to assist Cloudstar customers in regrouping and recovering operational capacity during this critical period. In light of this malicious attack, our goal is to minimize the disruption to the title and escrow industry at large, to consumers purchasing homes and refinancing mortgages, and to our partners across the real estate ecosystem.
